This morning while I was making some morning nutmeg.. I found an old letter and card in the drawer that my friend once gave to me.
It was so long ago.
I remember we would exchange cards for each other as pen pals and each of us put a joke or a small drawing at the bottom, something only the two of us understood.
That was really fun, and sometimes I miss those days...
They would always write theirs with the same pencil I would lend them, becasuse they lost theirs so often and even to this day xD
Sometimes I wonder if they still have my letters...
This one time, during a winter a few years ago when there was a snowman on every garden, me and my sis built the biggest snowman around, she gave him a baseball cap and I put a big red and green scarf around him and a carrot nose (I had a few bites of the carrot, sorry mr snowman!)
Anyways,
my sis took a picture of me next to the snowman and we sent it to them in the letter that winter, they called me and were kinda sad we didn't build it together, but it was only cause I wanted to see who could build a cooler snowman!
Call it competitive spirit, faha.
However, they didn't build one that year (their snowmans were usually so impressive, and I felt like they carried me in building one if my sis didn't help out...)
Because they didn't build their own that year, I wanted to give them a gift, something to make them smile.
So I drew a really bright red heart all for them and included it in the card!
They loved my ice puns when they opened it on call yet they seemed a bit more silent upon seeing my drawing. Maybe they thought I just copied the pillows we have at home, which are similar.
Sometimes I wonder how they really felt when they saw it.
Did they feel the same way I did making it?
